I have now learnt about both receptive and productive skills. Reading and listening are the receptive ones. Speaking and writing are the productive ones. The productive skills are aimed to help us to communicate with each other. In this unit what was the most important for me was the need of getting the students to exercise their fluency as well as their accuracy during productive skills based lessons. Writing requires more accuracy and speaking requires more fluency. But for both there is a need to invest the time needed without rushing the students during the study phase so they can produce Something without being scared of failure etc.
