This unit about teaching equipment was much more simple than the grammar unit preceding it. Teaching equipment can include white/blackboard, interactive whiteboard (IWB), overhead projector (OHP), visual aids, worksheets and work cards, cassette recorder, CD player, videos and DVDs, video camera, dictionaries, course books, resource books, photocopier, computers and online resources. Boardwork can greatly improve the clarity of a lesson. Sectioning off parts of a board fro vocabulary, grammar and notes, as well as using different colors and/or underlining or circling can highlight particular language points. Only putting essential information on the board will prevent students from copying down unnecessary items. Avoid using CAPITALIZED text as it is harder to read.
