In this unit, I was brought back to the basic physical action realm of the English Language, revisiting the receptive learning aspects of reading and learning. Being a Psychology graduate, with tons of materials to read, I am familiar with the different types of reading skills; such as scanning, skimming, as well as detailed information, thus I feel this unit has been a great refresher course for me. I also learnt from this unit that we should pre-teach potentially difficult vocabulary before we proceed with any tasks that could be difficult for the students to understand. This has taught me that it would make the activity more time-effective as well as conducive for the students to be able to better grasp and understand the material taught.
