This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I learned a lot about the Engage, Study, Activate approach. It makes a lot of sense to allow the students to \"warm up\" to the language through the activate stage before the actual lesson begins. This unit has given me a lot of information regarding how to make lesson plans and the best approach to use. Additionally, the unit's advice on corrections was very helpful. I learned the best time to correct a child's English progress. Depending on the stage of that day's lesson, a correction may not be the best thing for the class. Instead simply recalling the mistake and potentially reiterating the point at a later time is best for the class as a whole.
