This unit covered the nuts and bolts of English grammar. In our everyday conversations, native English speakers are often unaware of the various parts of speech we are actually using and why. However, an English teacher must have a firm grasp on the elements of grammar. From personal experience, I know how hard it can be to give an adequate answer to a student who wishes to hear a more detailed explanation of why we're implementing the parts of speech we do in a lesson. The content in this unit was an excellent refresher, and I already feel more confident in my ability to effectively deliver a grammar lesson.
