This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
A teacher's first impression is important to set the tone of the class. Being more personal (asking what their names are, and calling them up by their name) with the student allows them to participate more and less intimated to make mistakes. When they do make mistakes you are able to correct it. Start the lesson with something the students are familiar with. For example, animals, trips, or about different family members, because this will allow the student to participate more. I like this lesson and seeing the difference between video 1 and 2, and seeing how effective video 2 was at teaching, everything flowed and the student followed along quite well.
