An in depth look at past tenses. There did not seem to be as many Activity Phase options. It does seem that story telling, and role-play would be the best. I was rather taken with an idea. A patchwork lesson plan, using the matching card games and turning it into a group activity for the first active phase, then a role-play for the second active phase after I can address problems that occurred during the first phase.
There are a lot of errors that need to be planned for, in particular for the most used tenses like past simple and past continuous, of top of all the irregular past simple verbs. Lessons on past tense will take longer than they would for present tense based only on the confused complexity that comes from trying to use the past tense of another language, that has many more tenses than their first.
