This unit provided me with a comprehensive analysis of the English present tense. It has made me more aware of how I use the present tense. More importantly, it has made me more aware of what and how I explain it to learners. So I appreciate knowing the rules and usages of each tense's aspects and areas with greater clarity. Furthermore, I think it has been useful to know more student activities for activation during an \"E.S.A\" lesson. From personal experience as an assistant language teacher in an Asian country, I know well that students struggle with tenses. At this moment, I know many students who cannot write these tenses easily. I can now take greater measures to teach the present tenses more easily. The students will appreciate the activation activities as well. It is imperative that any TEFL teacher understands the present tense, its aspects and areas while being able to explain them.
