Unit 3 was on helping develop skills for teaching in the classroom. It went over different methodologies, theories, and techniques for the classroom. The focus was on ESA: Engage, Study, and Activate which should be incorporated in every lesson. Teachers should use a variety of methods for teaching to best help students be active participants and engage in the material. This lesson really enticed me to learning more about planning a lesson. It really helped me to see different ways to run a classroom as well as different activities to incorporate in my lessons to help students to better retain the information they have learned. This was a great starting point to help someone who is not a trained teacher start thinking about how to develop a lesson plan.
