This unit was an overview of the different ways an education centre (whether it be a traditional school, a language training centre or even personal tutoring) can test their respective students for different situations. For example, my current teaching placement is in an English Language training centre and we often conduct placement tests to help form group classes with students of a similar level, as well as progress tests to help teachers ?and parents) to see how their students have prgoressed during their studies. Prior to the study of this unit I knew very little about the huge range of exams provided by Cambridge Assessment. I think I will suggest some of these specific tests, for example the FCE (First Certificate in English) exam to some of my students.
