Unit 16 on Conditionals and Reported Speech covered understanding the five different types of conditionals. To understand conditionals, there is a strong emphasis on the likelihood and tense of your statement or question. For example, second conditionals stand out due to the fact that it is detailing a hypothetical situation that is very unlikely to happen. This unit also covered the difference between reported/indirect speech and direct speech. The suggested intermediaries teaching idea with a role-play of a couple that has stopped speaking and a third party mediator was an eye-catching idea as it is a very practical real-life scenario.
