This unit provides a detailed explanation on how to effectively teach productive skills. This unit describes the various activities and categorizes them to allow a more efficient use of the activities. Some of these categories include prompting, drilling, model dialogues and discussions. By providing a selection of activities in this unit it gives future teachers a greater selection of activities to work with and can help expand their way of teaching and make it more creative.
This unit also provides good guidelines for creative speaking activities. These guidelines are very useful as they give clear and concise instructions on what to consider when utilizing such an activity. The one thing that I would like to have seen is some cons to not following the guidelines. This could help teachers avoid mistakes and help them understand what their mistakes can do to a classroom.
