Unit 20 looks at problems that language teachers might encounter in the classroom such as new groups, different levels, large classes, reluctant students, and difficulties with listening to texts and discusses of few ways to address them. It also addresses how to promote the use of English over the student's native language in the classroom by making sure to be clear in instructions and making sure that students have the required language skills to complete assigned activities. Unit 20 suggests some strategies for use with weaker students in the classroom such as pairing them with stronger students. Learning troubleshooting strategies before entering the classroom will make it easier to address problems as they arise.
