This unit focus on the other two basic language skills of English, as known as production skills. Productive skills are equally important as receptive skills because they are the foundation of an intellectual being. Same as the receptive skills, productive skills have its own depths. In the first part of the unit, the content explains several concepts of productive skills, differentiating between accuracy and fluency, teaching technique and so forth. The second part of the unit, which I find more challenging. Writing skills is the most difficult skills in any language, in my opinion, it is often neglected in schools. To achieve a high level of writing skills, accumulating a large amount of practicing and reading is inevitable. As a future TEFL teacher, I will be focusing on every possible detail to ensure my student to build a solid foundation on writing skills.
