This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit talks about the pronunciation of English words and discusses the various ways to effectively teach pronunciation and intonation to students. I find it to be the most complicated unit to learn from thus far. I've spoken English naturally for many years and have never learned English using any kind of phonetic system, and in the past have always taught pronunciation to my students by example (i.e. asking them to listen and repeat, and to do lots of listening exercises). However, I find this unit to be very useful as a reference should the need arise one day for me to teach using the International Phonetic Alphabet.
