This unit covers equipment a teacher can use in order to teach a lesson. Some of the materials that can be used are boards, an interactive whiteboard, overhead projector, visual aids, worksheets and work cards. Each material has their own advantages, but in the end it is all up to the teacher on what he or she thinks is effective. I learned that modern technology has made a significant impact on how teachers decide to teach. Teachers can create powerpoint slides beforehand and play supplementary videos from the internet. Despite this, there will be times where the equipment might not operate properly. And so, a teacher must have a back-up plan. This back-up plan is usually resorting to using a board and marker. This shows that even with the upgraded classroom equipment, the old tools are still reliable and effective.
