This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit we saw conditionals, and the difference between direct and reported speech. Both can be tricky. In the conditionals the differences can seem subtle, but keeping in mind the tenses, and in what time we place the condition and the consequence, should make it clear which conditional we are using. Reported speech seems like it will be easy to use once the students have truly understood it. There are however a number of rules involved in terms of the tenses that will not make it easy to understand in the first place. So taking good care that every step of the way is well understood, and taking enough time to cover every transition in terms of tenses and pronouns will be very important.
