This unit explores coursebooks and less materials. A teacher must carefully consider what materials to use in the classroom. Will they use a coursebook? Will they create their own materials? Will they use authentic or created materials? Will they use some of all of these tools? The answers depend on what resources the teacher has available to them. Coursebooks need to be supplemented with materials that are tailored to the needs of the students. Some useful materials include flashcards, role playing cards and word games like crossword puzzles. It all depends on the needs of the students.
