This lesson shows in an actual classroom setting the importance of lesson planning and rapport building. In the first video the teacher introduced the lesson with a rather complicated phrase, instead of elucidating answers from the students in terms of examples. He also noted how easy the topic was, immediately making the students feel pressure to answer correctly, therefore heightening their reluctance to answer questions and participate. The explanations were unclear in the first video, showing the need for a teacher to always have examples ready to show the students exactly what is expected of them.
