In this unit, I learned some of the most common problem situations that teachers can encounter in the classroom and the suggest ways of dealing with them. When faced with a first lesson, the experienced teacher will not reside on the course book but will try to use activities such that establishing rapport between the students and also between the teacher and the class. And also, teachers need to find out about the students' needs/aspirations with English, and find out the English level of each individual class member. To warm up the class, teachers can use hangman, pictionary, tongue twisters, and memory games.
For different levels of students, teachers need to use different materials or same material and different tasks.
For the students who are using their native language, teachers need to make sure the activities they use are at an appropriate level and that the students have the necessary language to cope, and make sure teachers' explanations are clear to all class members.
