Past Tense is a tense expressing an action that has happened or a state that previously existed.
It has mainly four types
1. Simple past Tense which indicates the activity completed in the past. e.g. I watched a movie last night.
2. Past Continuous Tense shows an activity which was in progress during a past time. e.g. My baby was crying bitterly in the afternoon.
3. Past perfect Tense tells us about an activity occurred before other actions in the past.e.g. I had already finished my lesson plans when the supervisor called.
4. Past Perfect Continuous Tense talks about the longer actions in the past that had been going on continuously up to the past moment we are talking about.
