This unit helps to understand the advantages of lesson planning. We can consider it a real universal remedy, especially for inexperienced teachers, because writing a lesson plan helps with the whole planning process, represents a support and a guide we can refer to during the lesson and acts as a record of what the class has done. Therefore it should be thought and written in a simple and flexible way. A classic lesson plan should include elements such as: teacher's name, date, level and number of students, learner objectives, teacher's personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedure, timing, phase, kind of interaction. For a teacher would be also useful to evaluate his/her own lesson, stating what went well and where the lesson could have been improved.
