In this unit I have brushed up on the conditionals and the reported speech. There are five main conditionals: zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional , third conditional and the mixed conditional. Zero conditional we use for stating scientific facts and general truths, the first conditional to expres a promise, threat, warning , the second conditional is to o expres regrets and excuses , and the mixed conditional is for expressing present result of an imaginary situation from the past. I have learned some card games and role plays to practice the conditional, and one important rule is to teach one conditional at the time , and do it slowly. This unit also covered reported and direct speech, that report what someone said. I learned how to back shift and some time expressions that can be used .
