This unit discussed the many different tools that can be used in a classroom. It talked about smart boards, cassettes, DVDs, white boards, as well as others. It also referenced different websites and dictionary sites that could be useful when teaching English. Luckily I have been exposed to a lot of the tools discussed which makes me feel a little more confident when it comes to using these tools in a classroom. Before this unit however, I was not aware of all the different websites that can be used while teaching and I know that I will be using some of these in my class. This unit talked about different tools that can help keep the students' attention and that is something that is not always easy, especially in younger children. Knowing the good and bad about these devices will help me choose the right one to use for different types of lessons.
