Many language teaching methods, which are described in this unit can give useful ideas for English classes. But ESA method allows for much more flexibility. It helps to motivate students and gives them chances to practice language during different stages.
People often forget what they read or hear, but they never forget what they do. Reading this unit, I figured out that for my English classes I should be creative,inventing, avoid monotony, use games, and discussions instead of boring lectures. Teacher should encourage open communication and get all lerners involved by using various activities. New and fresh tasks, games, and ideas develop and arouse students' interest. It is important to get students communicate as much time as possible.
I learned a lot from this unit. It gave me some good ideas for my future classes and inspired me to read Jeremy Harmers's books for teachers.
