This unit was about Teaching methods, theories, and techniques. It was interesting to see the amount of different ways of teaching such as audio-lingualism: which stresses the importance of repetitive drills to condition students. Another is task-based learning, in which students complete tasks in English. I learned a lot about the importance making sure your teaching at the level of your students. It would not make sense for a class with little English exposure to have a debate on a complex topic. I think a really important part of teaching is to engage students and give them as much time as possible actually speaking the language and using it.
