Even as an observer, the first video was hard to watch. It lost my interest as a native speaker and a teacher, because he just repeated things and wasn't very creative in his presentation of the materials. It was also intimidating, since he never smiled. The second video was more fun and educational. He smiled more and created a welcoming, friendly environment for his students. He even had the students smiling and laughing. He also brought pictures and had actions for a lot of the things he wanted to describe or wanted the students to do. This made class more fun but also helped clarify what he was talking about.
