Unit 9 covers the topic of lesson planning. First, it discusses the possible reasons for planning a lesson and the levels of detail one might include in their lesson plan. Next it discusses the basic principles of lesson planning and important points in organization. A large part of the unit is devoted to the many elements that can be included in a lesson plan with an example of a written plan in ESA form.
The main thing I have learned from this unit is that there is no one correct way of writing a lesson plan and that each teacher must find what works best for their teaching style while ensuring that the students are learning the material.
