This unit tells us how to introduce new vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions to the students. The unit also reviews the ESA method and to apply it to the three previous mentioned things. The unit mentions that when practicing language functions the boomerang or the patchwork type of lessons are to be prefered and gives an example of this, but I wish the unit gave an example of what the lesson could look like with a straight arrow ESA type of lesson and what kind of problems that might occur during it.
What made the biggest impact on me in this unit was how to chose the words and structures that the teacher is going to introduce and what kind of difficulties that students might have during these introductions.
