This unit went over conditionals and reported speech.
It began by defining the conditionals - zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional and mixed conditionals and their usage.
It then differentiated between direct and reported speech - with direct being presently spoken and reported being relayed to a third person and the rules necessary to change these forms.
Teaching reported speech and conditionals may be a bit tricky as the rules could get confusing so it is important to engage students in these activities after building a sufficient vocabulary and understanding of basic sentence structures
