In this unit, I learned the different evaluations that occurs at the beginning, during, and at the end of English programs as well as programs that are already in play. Placement, progress, diagnostic, and practice tests are some of the main evaluations that occurs. In addition, there are a number of general examinations for different populations and ages depending on where you are in the world as well as your goals and aims of certifications. It's important as a teacher to know which tests at which time to give students. I believe that diagnostic tests are so important in order to know what the students have already learned and then what they need to learn. Also, progress tests are also crucial so that the teacher knows if they need to slow down certain chapters or to speed up depending on the students and their progress.
