This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 17 is the reflection of equipment used within the classroom to further educate the children on lesson material. As well as a few examples to use to have the students be enthusiastic about learning, such as writing on a white board, watching a DVD in class. which is informational about the given topic. Overhead projectors and displaying visual aids. Worksheets and work cards allowing the students to work in pairs. More and more what seems to be prevalent now adays is the use of course books, resource books and possibly the access to computers to help with reflection of equipment used.I found Unit 3 to be a very long, but comprehensive, lesson. I learned a lot about the theories, methods, and techniques used in TEFL. It was very helpful to see everything so organized, especially when ESA was broken down even further. Since I am already teaching English to non-native speakers, I think that it is really helpful to know how many different methodologies I can employ in my classroom. I especially appreciated seeing all the activities and games that I can use for each different section (Engage, Study, and Activate). I plan to use this Unit often when planning future lessons.
