An EFL teacher does not always have a choice what type of class to teach. There could be beginners, young learners, individual (one-to-one), professional or English for specific needs groups, and classes either of the same or different L1. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages. For instance, a multilingual group does not have a common language, and thus, is forced to use English. But on the other hand, a different cultural background may create difficulties and even tension between learners when discussing some topics or bevaving in certain way. The unit is complimented by the video, which discusses Dos and Don,ts for each type of class and gives advice on the activities/teaching tools. This unit made me think who I would prefer to teach.
