I learned about ways to implement speaking and writing activities into the classroom as well as the difference between accuracy and fluency in relating to those activities. Accuracy activities are concentrated on producing correct language and these activities are controlled to reproduce such language. Fluency activities are concentrated on allowing the students to experiment and be creative with language. Some examples that lesson highlights for controlled activities include; drilling, prompting, model dialogues, and guided role play. Some fluency based activities include; free role-play, discussions, information gap, debates and simulations.
