This unit was very helpful. The first video showed a teacher that was clearly not prepared. he demonstrated poor technique, and classroom control. The teacher mentioned the subject he wanted to teach but did little to nothing to engage his students, then ridiculed them for incorrect answers. Early on he had a hard time getting participation simply because he was somewhat mean. He didn't answer questions, and he spent a quarter of the class with his back to the students.
In the second video the teacher was much better. He had a clear plan, aids that included mime, and flash-cards, and he was very personable. He also paired the students, so they could work together.
