In this unit, I have learned about the breakdown and detailed explanation on the Engage-Study-Activate approach in teaching English. Oftentimes, I tend to focus on the study phase in the lesson and realized how little importance I've given to the \"engage phase,\" which in fact, is just as valuable as the study phase. In order for the students to take interest in and get them in the mood for learning, we must elicit receptivity to the English language through conducting various activities like sharing information with their classmates or even a simple introduction prompts would do. It was also emphasized that all lessons, whatever their structures in the middle may be, should always start in the engage phase and end with the activate phase.
