Unit 16 reflects the forms and usage of conditional and reported speeches. With conditional speeches there are five main conditionals that are used; Zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditional. This unit breaks down into detail what each conditionals are and how they are used in a sentence. What I learned most from this chapter was reported and direct speeches. This section of this unit was new to me and when they gave examples of how to report the direct speeches I was able to understand more. For example, the reported speech for 'He will be visiting tomorrow.' is 'He said that he would be visiting tomorrow'.
