In this unit, I learned about lesson planning. In the beginning, the unit discussed how to successfully plan a lesson. Some of the main points included being flexible with the lesson plan and avoiding a scripted lesson. The chapter highlighted that it is crucial to be organized in order for the lesson to go smoothly. Next, the unit described what should be included in the lesson plan. This was followed by a sample lesson plan in an ESA structure. Finally, the chapter discussed the importance of self-evaluation of the teacher in order to monitor their own skills and possible improvements that could be made.
