This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
this unit teaches us about the three different types of materials used for teaching. we learn that there are authentic materials-materials that we fins in real life that we can use for a real life learning experience. however, we learn that these authentic materials can be difficult for the non native language learner. we also learn about created materials and course book materials. these have their place as well because they are more detailed and targeted for specific learners. we can target them to the level of the learners and they come with syllabi and grading systems. however, they may not be as applicable or interesting. each of these materials have there place within the realm of teaching, and using them all at different times are important.
