Overall, what I learned from this chapter was to have a plan, but be flexible. I am a planner. I know it's best to keep it simple, have an idea for the amount of time you expect each step to take, and have built in flexibility. Great reminders in this unit are to have all materials at the ready, and to have not only learner objectives, but also personal aims with each lesson. An important distinction is made in this chapter between a single lesson plan and planning a sequence of lessons. I also love the extra step of self-monitoring your own lesson, making a formal evaluation of your lesson after the fact. I will definitely print out the forms that are made available in this unit.
