In Unit 5: Managing Classes, I became aware of many different variables when it comes to managing my classroom. For instance, I must be concerned with how i initially start off with the students as this will affect behaviors, discipline, and rapport, as well as participation from each student moving forward. Between my eye contact, my relationships with each individual student, my preparedness and my professionalism, these all have outward results on how I am perceived and respected by the students. I also must be aware of language levels for each student as this will affect how much they will get out of the lessons...which in the end, is why they are taking the course in the first place!
