This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
During the study of the unit, I learned about course books and study materials. I learned that we have two groups of materials, which are authentic and creative materials. Authentic are anything a native speaker would hear or read such as magazines, newspapers, songs, poems, and etc. I also learned that the created materials could be materials like pictures, puzzles, and flashcards. In addition, I learned about the course books advantages and disadvantages such as providing security for the students and teachers for the advantage and course book dictating what needs to be taught for disadvantage. Furthermore, I learned different options for using a course book such as omission or replacement of materials. Other thing I learned was that how to analyze a course book by considering the price, availability , methodology, and that what ancillary materials have been used.
