Being an English speaker for over 50 years, I thought I knew English grammar. However, this unit enlightened me about my lack knowledge in the subject. I learned several new facts:
1. There are actually 12 tenses. Previously, I thought there were either 3 or 6.
2. The structure \"have worked\" or \"have gone\" is actually the present perfect tense as it relates the past to the present. Previously, I would have guessed that this was past tense of some form.
3. The structure \"have been working\" or \"have been going\" actually represents the present perfect continuous tense. Again, I probably would have said it was past tense, because of the past participle involved.
So I feel a lot more knowledgeable about the present tense now. Great unit.
