This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit focused on the productive skills of speaking and writing. The lesson gave examples of potential hang ups that might stifle student's engaging in the speaking portion of an English lesson. It also gave a framework of items to look at when it came to writing, reminding us specifically that not all students use the same alphabet as the English language. It once again reminded us not to correct everything at once, but to let students make mistakes. We should guide them on a path of improvement rather than over-doing the correcting and stifling their enthusiasm to learn English. Accuracy is important, but engaging students actively in learning is the bigger goal.
