This unit talked about the two different aspects of language usage and language learning. Receptive skills, which would be reading and listening, learning, absorbing, internalizing, and productive skills which would be speaking and writing, or externalizing. It also discussed about the different ways in which a person pays attention to whatever it is they are focusing on. Like depending on the level of importance that is held within the information, the receiver will pay more attention. I liked that part of this unit because it is true and interesting. It worked to prove the point that the interest of the learners is very important for language progression. I also liked the example lesson about learning about what people wear.
