I believe in this section, I learned the most about what is a receptive skill. I think before reading the information in unit 11. I wouldn't even be able to deduct what it could be about. I learned that it is mainly focused on the reading and listening skills. After reading through this unit, I gathered an understanding of what a receptive skill is and what a productive skills is. Other things that I though was important is understanding how we as native speakers read/ listen for information. Finally, I found it interesting how we use world information when reading. For example, if we read a headline that the bears were destroyed by the cowboys. I wouldn't think of animal abuse. I think of the football team. It is very interesting.
