Unit 16 focused on Conditionals and reported speech. This unit teaches us that Conditional tenses are used to speculate about what could happen, what might have happened, and what we wish would happen. There are 5 types of conditional sentences: Zero, which are general truths, Type 1, which area possible conditions and its probable result, Type 2, which is a hypothetical condition and it?s probable result, Type 3, which is an unreal past conditional and its probable result and the mixed type, which is an unreal past condition and its probable result in the present. Unit 16 states that it is helpful to remember that conditional sentences contain if and or when. Unit 16 also focuses on the use of reported speech. Reported speech is used to report to or tell someone what another person has said. It is important to remember that the tenses change when in reported speech so it is paramount that we understand them very well so that we avoid any confusion.
