Unit 4 covers the present tense, which includes the present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous forms. Affirmative, negative and question forms are studied, along with grammatical construction and fundamental rules. Usages and typical student errors are also covered, and teaching ideas for the activate stage of an ESA lesson.
Studying and relearning the forms of the present tense has been a good challenge, as I have not had to work with tenses for many years. Also, working with usages, errors and teaching ideas has been interesting and stimulating.
I am finding the ITTT course material is at a good level for me: I feel well informed by the teaching and video materials, well immersed in the material by completing the task sheets, and that the material will be supportive when I have an opportunity to teach ESL.
