This unit was really helpful because it helped tie in the past forms with the present forms we already learned about. It helped me to see that patterns that occur between things like present perfect and past perfect. By seeing the common links between these different forms I will be more equipped to help my students understand how each forms work. The irregular past simple chart is also very helpful for the future since there is not an assigned rule as to why certain verbs are irregular. It is becoming easier to remember that the past continuous form uses was/were and ing, past perfect uses had and hadn't, and past perfect continuous uses had, been and ing.
