Writing and speaking are teaching productive skills and they are equally important. Accuracy based activities are controlled and guided activities which mean that those activities are mostly controlled by teachers; fluency based activity such as creative communication is mainly controlled by students. There are techniques that teachers can use to encourage students? interaction, for example, pair-work, group-work, and change classroom dynamics. On the other hand, when teaching writing skills, teachers should take penmanship, spelling, and punctuation into consideration. Finally, I have learnt how to effectively teach those skills by using ESA method.
